Whitney-the 'real' senior shoot | Cedar City Senior Portrait Photographer

Whitney: "I've been checking your blog, like, every day this week"....

{silence}

Whitney: "My pictures aren't on there yet"

Me: "That's because they aren't done".

Whitney: "Well, the other sessions you did the same day are. You're putting me off, huh? Because you can.. I knneew it"!

I was caught. I have been putting off this blog, for no reason, but lack of time. She's my little sister. She's had numerous shoots before, so I slacked.  Woopsies.  ;)

These are her 'real' senior pictures.  We've done 2 other shoots this year, and have at least one other planned already. BUT, these. These are the real, stinkin', deal.  :)   We were up at 6 am, dragging our mom out of bed so she could drive the old truck since neither one of us know how. No, I don't know how to drive manual. If my life depended on it, I'd likely be stranded or blow to pieces because it's just way too much for me to handle.   :)

Can't decide which is my favorie? Color or mink?

Oh look. It's Road Rage Whitney. Hahahaha. We have WAY too much fun on her shoots!

The best part about shooting her, well not shooting her, but photographing her, is I can tell her to suck it up and be blinded in the sun so I can get a good front lit picture.

K, Whitterz. Sorry for putting you off. I promise (CLARIFICATION: this is not a pinky promise, that way I still have a little wiggle room) that I will get your pictures finished this week! LOVE you..thanks for putting up with me!

P.S.  If ever, you're on a photo shoot with me, and your fake eyelashes are falling off...just grab the hairspray out of my camera bag..it works wonders!

Kasey | Southern Utah Senior Photography

This cuteness, is Kasey. She is my sisters best friend. The BFF. I've never actually met Kasey before our photoshoot, but I had heard TONS of great things, and funny stories!  Kasey is quiet and shy, the total opposite of my sister. But, good heck, is she not some eye candy?!  She's tall, in shape, blonde, & over-all beautiful (with super awesome shoes)...doesn't get much better than that for me and my lens!

Here's Whitney & Kasey practicing their posing. They both should work in the pro model world...not many clients think this much into posing...any one who's ever had their pictures done with me, knows, this is NOT my strong point (it's not a point at all with me really), so it was nice to have some of the posing taken care of!

Ah. I NEED those shoes!  Need. Not want. and yes, I know the difference.

Kasey Long Legs. That's her new nick name. They go for miles! JEALOUS (says stubby chub chubs)..

This girl has the most gorgeous natural complexion. Carrie Underwood has it, and so does Kasey Long Legs.  ;)

Thanks for lettin' me take your pictures Kasey! Whitney is a lucky girl to have such a good BFF.  :)

Broadhead Family| Northern Utah Photographer

My husband has been super close friends with mom & dad of this cute family, since before I even knew him.  I haven't been able to spend too much time with them myself, BUT I've heard story after story about how fun they are.

Can you believe mom has 6 {yes, SIX} kids?  She looks a million times better than me and I have one. Heck, she looks better than I did before I had any. Kudos momma.

The Boys...

The youngest. I love his red hair..I may be impartial to cute little red headed babies.  ;)
Oh! I also love the drool.  I love a realness to a picture. Drool. Not everyone 'posed' and looking at the camera. The natural. The candid. My fav.

The oldest of the clan. She was too cute for words!

Girl #2.  Her hair makes me want to go get highlights.

Mom & Dad on the Harley.

Harley's are a big deal in this family. The second youngest boy, his name, is Harley.  :)

The Alvey Family| Cache Valley Extended Family Photographer

A few weeks ago, I got a text from my husband's cousin.  He asked if I'd be available Sunday (2 days away) afternoon to take his neighbor's family pictures.  Luckily, it was the ONLY day I didn't have something scheduled within 3 weeks!  After a few more texts back & forth, he let me know I made it to the coolest cousins list...uh huh. That's right. & you'd better bet I rubbed it in my husbands face.  ;)

I got a call from his neighbor and we hashed out a few details..I asked how many people were in her family and she replied "19"! 19?!  Whhhhhaaaa?  My first thought was "wow, Cache Valley has it's very own 19 & counting"! Pfft. Not. It was just an extended family, who finally was able to get the whole clan together. Having a super duper large extended family on both sides, I know the near impossibility of this 'task'.

The Alvey family was a very fun, and relaxed group.  We got group pictures in every possible 'combo', 2 locations, and even a few outfit changes in just over an hour.  I don't know about you, but I'd say that's pretty dang good!

About Me

I'm in this for the long haul, and I'm glad you've joined me.
