Lindsay & Travis

I've known Lindsay for a LONG time. We grew up just down the street from each other back in OZ.  Now, how cute are these two? Going through the pictures, I would feel safe to say that 85% were of them laughing. I had just met Travis, and was only around them as a couple for a few hours, but it was super obvious to me, that there couldn't be a better man out there for Lindsay!  I'm so happy for them, and can't wait for the wedding in June!

{P.S. Sitting at the mouth of Logan Canyon, after it just snowed, was not a good idea. Talk about freezing. I think Mother Nature got her calendar confused. It is not okay to be so bitterly cold at the end of March. Yes, I know I live in Northern Utah. No, it's still not okay}.

I think it's fairly obvious that I own dogs. Travis and Lindsay helped me realize that today.  "Sit here" "Stay" "Give puppy kisses"... I'm a little shocked "roll over" didn't come out too. Ha! Sorry guys!

I'm pretty sure that the topic of conversation just prior to the above shot was the "doggy dropping bags" they were sitting on to stay dry.  If she can talk about that and have him so interested and intrigued by her, I'd say she's got herself a keeper!

Travis- that picture is just for you.   :)

For those of you who don't know the super cute proposal story, Travis proposed with a Ring Pop before giving her the real ring. A family walking past as we were taking these pictures, were "oooo-ing" and "awww-ing" over her "giant rock" and how expensive it must have been. A "3 year salary" I'm sure. (Office lovers..any one)?

Okay, there is a chance I may have a slight obsession with shoes. Not only mine, but other people's as well.

Lifestyle Photography

It's probably one of my favorites. Capturing the candids. The un-planned. The not posed. They always seem to bring a different atmosphere & feel to a picture.

I love love love this article I found here.  Susan Keller from Susan Keller Photography, who wrote the article, says it perfectly:

… lifestyle images are ALL about the person/people being photographed. I’m far more interested in my clients being completely aware of each other and not so aware of me

I think in every shoot I have done, the true, unposed candids are my favorite.  What about you? Do you prefer lifestyle or more posed/portrait photography?

Whitney

As if it wasn't obvious enough in her first photo shoot with me. You know exactly what I mean. Yup. She's a total babe. We had so much fun taking these, despite many prickly things sticking in all sorts of places.  The weather was so so so so g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s.  down south.  I wanna go back!

This is "so Whitney".

Does this session give any one else hair envy?  :/

Brothers

I love these boys. My nephews. I don't know when I've laughed so much during a shoot. They are 4 little fire- crackers. Witty. Smart. & so dang ADORABLE!  One thing is for sure, they are heartbreakers in the making!

The youngest and oldest have near-by birthdays, and with the family living so far away it was a great opportunity to get together on a sunny day to click chat & play!

Rock it or Roll it?

Rock it or Roll it?

180* difference this week than last! Thank GOODNESS! I've decided it's okay to not have any Roll it's and only Rock it's.  Just not the other way around. However, I like to complain, so I will mention a Roll it anyways! (Totally kidding about the liking to complain, kinda.  ;)

Rock it

1-New cameras. This may not be one for you. But, if you're reading this, off my photography blog, I'm assuming it probably is in one way or another.  I can't wait for my next session (coming soon...super soon) so I can rock this baby out!
2-A husband. Yup. I finally have one. After 6 months of him working 7 days a week, he is finally laid off. Sounds like a bad thing, but I promise, it's not!
3-Super talented sister-in laws, who make super crafty awesome things. (The other side of the blocks say "LOVE <3". I'm all about "multi- purpose decor"!

4-A good read. I'm not a huge book worm. Not a book worm at all actually. However, once in a while I like to dive into a good book. The Host, was the best dive ever. Yes, I read Twilight. Yes, I loved all 4 among many other reads that I've read..Ha Ha. BUT, I think this book beat 'em all. If you haven't read it already, be warned, the end will have you in tears (if it doesn't don't tell me, that will just make me feel ooberly emotional)!

Roll it

Trick candles. Not the kind that Grandma and Grandpa put on your birthday cake year after year so they can have a reason to laugh at you..but the kind that smells really good in the store. You get home. Light it. BOOM. BAM. BANG. Instant head ache?  You know those? Happened to me. Didn't like it much.

About Me

I'm in this for the long haul, and I'm glad you've joined me.
