B.L.U.E. on Week 2 | Logan UT Photographer

  One thing I've want to do, is be super duper creative with ONE thing a week. JUST ONE RACH! That's my excuse for being late on posting..again. The funny thing is, it's still not creative.  So, instead, you will learn a little bit about me and 3 of my favorite things.

1) My first born, Bear. Please forgive his shaggy mess of a hair-do. He goes to his salon tomorrow.  Bear is a total momma's boy. I love it. I hate it. Sometimes a girl just needs her 'space' & this boy has no clue how to respect my 'bubble'.  My husband proposed to me with my Bear. He's ornery. Bear, not my husband. Speaking of my husband, he loves the Dallas Cowboys. He bought our dogs Cowboy jersey's. They're blue. :)  Stringing random thoughts together here...work with me.

2) Does anyone else remember these from Elementary/Jr. High? I have, and always will love them. Blue, just happens to be my favorite flavor (after pink...shhhh).

3) And last, but definitely not least. As you may, or may not know, I am from Kansas. Oz is my 'home sweet home'. My family and I are big time KU (University of Kansas) Jayhawk fans. If you see me roaming the streets (well, hopefully not literally) there's a good chance I'll be sporting my KU gear.

I really think I can do something creative for week 3. Patterns. Yeeeeaaaah. I can do this.............

52 Weeks | Northern Utah Photographer

This year, I decided to join a 52 week photo project. 1 photo a week for a year. Each week is a new 'theme' to follow and is to be posted at the beginning of the week (Sunday).

Week 1: Breaking the 'Rules'.

You were supposed to break: The Rule of Thirds

I broke: The rule of thirds, the one posted photo, AND the posting date. Yup. Week 1 and I'm nearly a week late to post. Can we just call it rebellion? ;)

I got this crown in the mail earlier this week, and ever since my daughter has been asking to take 'her princess' pictures. I'm sure, any parent would agree, if your child ASKS you to take their photo, you can not say no! She even told me how she wanted her hair, and which tutu she wanted to wear. She's my rock star and we have SO much fun with our little, tiny, nothing fancy photo shoots. :)

P.S. I'm aware there are a few that are actually 'following' the rule of thirds.  ;)

& we had some skittles in her princess tent to 'celebrate' her becoming a princess. Kids are. The. Best!

Extended Family Snow Session | Logan Utah Photographer

I've had the oppotunity of working with one of these beautiful sisters before...Her senior photos are still some of my favorite to date, and she's been a great model for my LazyOne commercial shoots! :) 

I was super stoked when her mom contacted me about doing their family photos. Talk about good genetics right? Whenever a client asks if it's okay to bring their dogs, I immediately know I am going to love the session AND the client. I'm a dog person, okay? What do you expect? :)

 It was cold, but there were troopers. I LOVE their colors, and hope they will love these hanging big on their walls! I know I would (if it were my family that is ;)
